Delicious cakes.
So-so designs.

Tell me what you want in a sentence. I will think about it for roughly four seconds, say yes, and then draw whatever I pictured in my mind. The cake will taste incredible and look like it was decorated during an earthquake.

“SO EASY”(NO REFUNDS)
How this goes, every single time

You asked for this. You got this.

Here's the one that started the website. A real text, and the real cake that turned up five days later. There is no step in between.

01 · You asked for thisSunday, 8:51 PM
Screenshot of the text exchange. Meredith asks what cake he wants; he asks for confetti cake with white icing and a unicorn; Meredith replies, So easy.

“So easy.”

Two words. No follow-up questions, no reference image requested, no practice run, no discussion of what a unicorn looks like.

02 · You got thisFriday, delivered
The finished cake: white buttercream on confetti sponge, a wobbly orange piped unicorn, sprinkles, and a sour-belt rainbow arcing up from the animal's rear.

One (1) “unicorn”

Vanilla confetti, white buttercream, and a creature of unknown origin, with a rainbow emerging from a location of her choosing.

Still want one?

Genuinely flattered. Slightly concerned.

    A note about Nala.

Pickup is at the house, and the house comes with a dog. Nala is a mix of every breed you have ever been warned about, and she has never once acted like it. She will emit a terrifying howl when you arrive, she will meet you at the door and demand pets, and she will be openly delighted that you exist.

She does, however, occasionally turn into a vampire for about four seconds at a time. It is entirely play, it is only directed at other dogs, and it has never involved a customer. It is simply worth knowing before it happens in front of you while you are holding a cake.

    Unedited, unfortunately

    Reactions

Nobody has ever complained about the cake. The decoration is a separate conversation, and it is the one people repeat to their friends.

How these get collected: she texts you a week later and asks. That is the whole system.

You have read what they said.

Order one anyway. Every one of them did.

    The baker

    Meredith

No formal training. No natural ability. A truly remarkable amount of nerve.

Meredith standing at her kitchen counter, squeezing a tube of green gel icing onto a cheesecake, the first outline just begun.

Meredith at work · this is the Shrek, four minutes in

It started because nobody stopped me.

I started baking for my own family. The cakes were good, so people kept asking, and at some point somebody asked for something specific on top of one. I said yes without thinking about it, which is the only way I have ever said yes to anything. I did not do a practice run, and I have not done one since.

The cake came out. Everyone laughed for a full minute before anyone cut it. Then they ate all of it. That combination turned out to be the whole business: the decoration is the entertainment and the cake is the reason you're glad you ordered it.

One thing I will not apologize for: every animal I draw is pooping. All of them. It started in a painting class years ago and it has never once stopped being funny to me, so it stays. Every artist has a signature. This is mine, and I have never been talked out of it. On the unicorn it is a rainbow, which I would argue is the single most accurate thing on that cake.

It is not limited to cake. I also paint, which has gone about as well as you would expect. The penguins below are, in my opinion, fine.

Meredith in profile at a paint-and-sip class, brush in hand, working on a canvas of two black-and-white penguins against a rainbow sunset.
Exhibit B. Two penguins, one sunset, no training.

Now I get requests from people I've never met, which is flattering and a little alarming. So this site exists to do one thing before you send me any money: show you exactly what you are signing up for. Scroll The Damage first. Then ask me anyway.
